Remake de l'histoire d'Astro Boy ''The Greatest Robot on Earth'' d'O.Tezuka, publiée en 1964/65.
Résumé de l'éditeur :
In an ideal world where man and robots coexist, someone or something has destroyed the powerful Swiss robot Mont Blanc. This shocking incident is followed by another: a key figure in a robot rights group is murdered. These events appear to be unrelated… except for one very conspicuous clue - the bodies of both victims have been fashioned into some sort of bizarre collage complete with makeshift horns placed by the victims' heads. Interpol assigns robot detective Gesicht to this most strange case - and he eventually discovers that he too, as one of the seven great robots of the world, is one of the targets.
Naoki Urasawa collaborated with editor, producer and manga writer Takashi Nagasaki to create a daring revisionist take on Osamu Tezuka’s timeless classic Astro Boy. Created with the blessing of Tezuka’s son Macoto Tezuka, Pluto: Urasawa × Tezuka is a radical retelling of a seminal work by the Godfather of Manga by the modern master of seinen manga sci-fi and suspense.
In 2005, Pluto received an Excellence Prize for manga at the Japan Media Arts Festival, as well as Grand Prize honors in the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize honors.
