Hayashi Kato uses the Red Chinese army's discipline against them and convinces their captain that he and Ulysses are high ranking officers on a top secret mission. The colonel to whom the captain reports this encounter is Cat Ng, Kato's former temple rival who begrudges Hayashi having been awarded the Demon Sword, which had been in his own family for years, by the temple leaders.
